Featured Family of the Month – September 2013

The Paolozzi family has a long history with Doodle Bugs!. Jocelyn and Michael Paolozzi enrolled their son Jackson in the Webster center when it opened seven years ago. As the family grew, they continued to bring their children to Doodle Bugs!. When they knew there was going to be a Doodle Bugs! in Victor, they decided that they would finally be able to move to that community and quickly enrolled at the Victor center – much to the delight of Victor’s franchise owners and faculty.DownloadedFile

The Paolozzi’s were one of the original families at Doodle Bugs! in Victor, and their children Jackson (age seven), Dylan (age four) and Pierce (age two) have delighted all the staff. The whole family comes in smiling, eager and ready to enjoy the day – even when it’s 6:45 a.m.! It is an absolute pleasure starting the day with this family.

Throughout the first year of operation at Doodle Bugs! in Victor, the Paolozzi’s have been extremely supportive. When extra clothes were needed for the clothing drive, Jocelyn was the first to bring in bags of new clothes. The family participates in many events and has recommended Doodle Bugs! to many friends and neighbors. Their cousin David joined Doodle Bugs! this summer for camp!

Thank you, Paolozzi family, for bringing your delightful children to the center and being a part of the Doodle family!

Kindness, community, generosity of both time and spirit – these are the heart of our program’s success. To celebrate the fact that the doodle community is made up of passionate individuals who truly care, we used our 20th year (2012) as a unique opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ in the communities we serve.

The shared sense of joy and accomplishment that arose from the initiative inspired us to repeat it! In December 2012, we wrapped up our 20th year with twenty additional acts of kindness – Mr. Doodle Bug was spotted at nursing homes, children’s hospitals, city missions, public libraries and other local organizations.

This was the perfect way to celebrate our growing community of happy children, happy parents, and happy teachers. And now, as we embark on our 21st year, we are proud to celebrate by recognizing the individuals that make this all possible … and that is our incredible families.

Beginning in February 2013 and continuing until January 2014 we will be featuring one outstanding family each month. This family will be showcased on our website, social media pages, and receive a $25 Bill Gray’s gift certificate, a Doodle Bugs! gift basket and one week of free tuition for one child’s tuition maximum.
