Doodle Bugs! Friday Five

The Doodle Community is buzzing with news & events. Here’s what has been going on and what we have coming up:

1) The day has arrived! Our outstanding team is truly the heart of our program’s success. With their dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine love for early childhood education, our teachers work hard to build the doodle community. As a token of our appreciation for their efforts, we are proud to celebrate this amazing team with our third annual Early Childhood Conference. This conference will be held tomorrow at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens.

2) Penfield will be hosting a “BYOP” (bring your own PUMPKIN) event next Monday, October 29th. Please contact center director Marissa Lee for more information.

3) Doodle Bugs! is proud to participate for the second time in the KED event at the Galleria Mall, the Galleria of Treats on October 30th, and to be the Kids Area sponsor! The Walden Galleria Mall offers a safe and fun trick-or-treat environment for kids of all ages. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Kids Escaping Drugs. Pre-sale tickets are on sale starting October 1st at the Walden Galleria customer service desk on the upper level near Macy’s. Tickets are $1.00 pre-sale, and $2.00 the day of event. We hope to see all of our friends and families there!

4) Happy Halloween! Wednesday, October 31st is our annual Halloween Party – the biggest party of the year!  Come in costume, bring a treat* to share, and trick or treat around the center with us! For your family’s convenience, you can also view the Costume Parade on WatchMeGrow; beginning at 10AM, all classrooms will parade through the indoor/outdoor playgrounds. *Store-bought treats only, please.

5) Our Annual Food Drive begins in just over a week. This food drive is the perfect opportunity to introduce children to the joy of giving. Please place your non-perishable donation in any of the turkey boxes that the children have created and placed throughout the center. All locations will be accepting donations November 5-16th.
